Overview:
The Burning Army project was a project I did a few years ago for our local Burning Man event here in Utah. The project consisted of many carefully constructed effigies standing in formation with piers of other effigies standing in front of the army formation.

The research and construction techniques took me about 2 months of trial and errors to find the right mix of long clean burning construction with minimal mess and at a affordable price point. The end result of this effort was the use of specialized waxes that wouldn't melt in the desert heat mixed with all organic fibers carefully constructed to insure the longest burn possible.
